Fessenden Middle School Closing Ceremony

6/27/2012
The Middle School closing ceremony on June 6, 2012, celebrated the school year.

Opening remarks were delivered by Headmaster David Stettler and Middle School Head Curt Lewellyn. Curt Lewellyn recognized the Middle School parent volunteers as well as shared his appreciation for Middle School Assistant Liane Cadman for her dedication and faculty member Melissa Panchuck who will transition into the Middle and Upper School Academic Technology Advocate (ATA) position for the 2012-13 school year. Additionally, he delivered a heartfelt goodbye to science faculty member Sue Eldert as she retired following her 12 years of service to the Fessenden community.

The ceremonies also provided the community the opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of all the boys as well as the Rochester Prize, Moore Prize, Spirit of Fessenden, Bruin Award and English Award student recipients. In the traditional closing receiving line, the boys shook hands with each teacher and a mixture of tears and smiles filled the stage. Many thanks to the students and Middle School faculty who made this year a tremendous success!
