Fessy tested itself by lining up again with Belmont Hill's eights and fours. Each boat experienced tough first pieces downstream with a strong tailwind. Fessy's 8s had overlap for much of these races, and soundly defeated the fours. Both boats knew they had more to give, and put it all out there right from the start sequence call of "All hands are down. This is the start. Attention. Row!" Fessenden and Belmont Hill were even in each race at the start, but Fessenden refused to back down and chipped away to hold Belmont Hill at open water in the 2nd boat and with small overlap in 1st boat. We are proud of this strong showing of Fessy strength and pride. Well done in both boats!

This was our first race in 4 seasons! We rowed our race and learned lots. Special shoutouts to our coxswains for their first time on a course with another team.

Fessenden took on Belmont Hill's 2nd and 1st boats in a two-piece format in the Half Mile Stretch. All four pieces started from the paddle. Belmont Hill's experience with racing and additional time on the water was evident, but Fessenden stayed strong, rowed hard, and maintained overlap for the first half of the race. Both boats rowed better second pieces than the first, and we couldn't be prouder of the way that our team supported each other.

Fessenden gained quick leads and held of BB&N in both boats. 

Fessenden demonstrated significant growth from last week's racing to this week. With the introduction of racing starts, Fessy gained quick leads in both boats over BB&N. Despite a rigging issue prior to the race, Fessenden's second boat came out strong and set the tone for our first boat. Both boats did one race piece downstream in the half mile stretch and won with many lengths of open water. We then lined up our boats and raced a hard-fought battle back towards Northeastern's boathouse. Both crews showed impressive progress in the past week.
