What a difference a week makes, and not in a good way. The weather turned cold and the boys of JVA could not keep up with a strong Belmont Hill squad. Down a couple plays made the match ups a bit more difficult. In the four singles match ups, Alex stepped up to play number one but his opponent seemed to get everything back and won 8-2. Jaden was recovering from illness and lost 4-8. Xander played long points and battled well but lost 3-8. Hayden played the best of all be a few errors results in a 6-8 loss.

Gus and Alex jumped out to a 7-4 lead but couldn't close them out and ended up losing in a tie breaker. Max and Stanley also came quite close to victory but lost in the tie breaker.

Two matches at home this week with Beaver and Hillside on Thursday and Friday. Let's hope the weather and on-court success also improve.
