Varsity Basketball Displays a Tough Defense in Defeating Belmont Hill
Pete Sanderson
The Varsity Basketball team hosted a physically imposing Belmont Hill team Wednesday coming off the long weekend break with no practice since last Thursday.....but they rode a strong defense right from the start of the game to generate offense at the other end of the floor. Fessy opened up a 10 point lead in the first half and the score hovered around that margin until late in the second half when the Bears took control for good with a final score of 53-36. Nigel J. had maybe his most balanced game of the season with 17 points and 9 assists, while Alex E had a steady 13 points and 4 steals. Tyler G. rounded out our top scorers with 9 points on the afternoon.
The Bears will end their regular season today versus Fenn and conclude their overall campaign at the Future Stars Tournament Sunday at Suffield Academy.
