Sharp execution in all areas of the game got us this win

BC High won the first face-off and quickly scored the first goal of the game. Jake K made some adjustments at the face-off and we managed to come up with the ball on the next few face-off contests. Our first shots of the game were a little off target but as we began settling into our offense, worked on getting the ball to our dodging spots, and changed planes on our shots - we took a 6-1 lead in the first quarter. Our defense played well as a unit, communication was a big part of that success. We limited the talented BC High attack to outside shots and we cleared the ball with good poise. With only 1 line of offensive middies and 1 line of defensive middies, our intention was to get some possession time and control the pace of the game. We did this well at times, particularly late in the game. Overall, it was a good win against a solid opponent. We look to continue to emphasize execution, sharing the ball, and dictating the pace of the game. Two more tough games this week offer great opportunities for our guys to step up.

The captains chose to award the "game ball" to Alastair M which was deserved for his relentless hustle all over the field and a couple of tough goals. He displays great qualities of hard work, positivity, and character each day.
