The temperature on the turf was definitely high on Friday and our guys were a little beat up after a long week. This was evident in our slow start. Nevertheless, we showed some good toughness in the final quarter to extend our lead from 5-3 to 8-3. We were the better team and we came out on top, which was the real takeaway.
Zach A earned the game ball for being physical on defense, making aggressive plays defensively and in transition. In the final minutes he ran through two body checks retaining the ball and getting it to our offense to kill the clock. He has been a force for us this year, playing every minute of our competitive match-ups. His stick skills have developed remarkably fast, which is a testament to all of the guys on the team and their dedication to pushing one another to get better each day.
We have a game with Fay on Wednesday of this week and we host the Jr Boarding School tournament this coming Saturday. We will be putting pieces into place to be our best on Saturday, 5/21, as we do each day.
