Fessy Bears overpower Fay School

The first quarter was a little sloppy as we came out of the gates a little slow and adjusted to our first game on a grass field. Fay players were fired up and played sharply as a unit. In the next three periods our guys began focusing on the little things including getting higher above the Goal Line, making one more pass, getting low on the ground balls, and communicating. Fay wisely made some adjustments on their ride, but we continued to make changes of our own that allowed us to maintain possession of the ball and our shots started to fall, as we suspected they would.

While we had a solid team performance, Giacomo T earned the game ball in this one by being a force in the middle of the offense. He saw the ball well, made strategic cuts, rode hard causing turnovers, and finished his shots very well. He has been a crucial part of our offense over the last two seasons, always being an inside threat which makes sliding difficult for our opponents and gives our guys an option inside both in transition and in settled offense. Well done, Giacomo.
