Varsity Basketball Rolls Over Cardigan Mt. in Neutral Site Game at Groton

The Varsity Basketball team returned to action after the 2 week winter break and traveled to Groton to take on rival Cardigan Mt. School in a neutral site game.  Fessy got out of the gate and quickly opened up a comfortable lead on the strength of their stellar defense. At the half they had opened up a 20 point lead and from there coasted to a 90-66 victory. 11 of our 12 players contributed on the scoreboard.  Justin U. had an excellent all around game leading the Bears with 19 points 6 assists, 4 rebounds and 3 steals. Borja H. had a solid first half with 13 points before sitting out the second half with an injury. Kayden H. got into early first half foul trouble which limited his minutes, but rallied in the second half to score 11 points while pulling down 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Rory F. made the most of his minutes off the bench pulling down a team high 11 rebounds and 8 points. Daniel O. was opportunistic around the rim with 8 points and 7 rebounds. Alex E. contributed in every stat category with 7 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. 

The Bears will return to action next Wednesday against St. John’s Prep
