Varsity Basketball Holds On To Defeat Tough St. John's Prep Team

The Varsity Basketball team hosted their first home game of the new year against a tough, physical squad from St John's Prep.  After a strong start where the Bears raced out to a 9-0 lead, the boys from SJP fought back on the strength of their outside shooting and physical play off the glass. Fessy got limited scoring from only 3 players in this contest which allowed SJP to keep the game close into the second half......but the Bears rallied late in the game to secure the 52-42 victory. Co- captain Alex E led the way with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 6 steals. Kayden H. came on strong in the second half to notch 17 points, 4 rebounds and 7 steals.  Justin U. rounded out the scoring with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists.  Rory F. tallied his second double digit rebounding game with 10 boards. 

The Varsity will be back in action this Friday @ Belmont Hill at 3:30
