Varsity Basketball Rises To the Occasion With Win Over Varsity HS Team from Roxbury Prep

The Varsity Basketball team return home on Thursday for the second game of back to back contests (we beat  Brooks on the road Wednesday).  Playing the Varsity HS team from Roxbury Prep, the Bears were faced with an uphill challenge from the very start of the game versus a more physically (and age wise) mature team. But Fessy played some tenacious defense, and broke open a really tight game to take a 12 point lead at the half. Fessy came out with the same high level defense in the second half and played with poise and maturity to finish off the game with a 56-40 victory. Alex E. continues his excellent play with 23 points, 8 rebounds and 4 steals.  Justin U. also put forth another consistent effort with 13 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals. Kayden H. had contributed a number of big plays on defense and finished with 8 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals. Borja H. stretched the defense hitting a couple of threes and finishing with 8 points and 5 rebounds. 

The Bears will take the court again next Tuesday with a home game against Hillside.
