Varsity Basketball Takes Down Putnam Science

The Varsity Basketball team hosted another talented and physically stronger team from Putnam Science and came away with an impressive 55-36 victory. The Bears were up against a roster of much older 10th, 11th and 12th graders from a basketball program that challenges every year on the national stage. Fessy never backed down though from the opening tip and took a 12 point lead into the second half. The Bears rode that momentum into the second half and hit their first 3 shots out of the gate.....and then maintained that lead on their way to victory.  Alex E put on another amazing show with 27 points, 4 assists, 4 rebounds, and 5 steals,  Kayden H. once again was a force on defense  while chipping in 11 points at the offensive end. Borja H. hit three shots in a row to start the second half to finish with 6 points.

This was an amazing effort by the Bears heading into another big week where they will face the Groton JV team on Tuesday followed by home game versus rival Rectory on Friday.
