Grades 5-9
Meet Us

What Inspires Us

From teachers, to coaches, to administrators—and to our students, most of all—Fessenden is filled with people who inspire us to learn, laugh, and achieve, each and every day.

See what we mean below—then come to campus and see for yourself. We promise: it’s worth it.
Listen to  what inspires our boys in Grades 5-9.
Every year we ask our boys to give their best advice to the new students who will be joining our community in the fall. Read the some of the more inspiring words of wisdom that Grade 5-9 boys offered to this year’s incoming students.
Decorated paralympic skier Chris Waddell, who was paralyzed from the waist down after a 1988 ski accident,  inspired our community by encouraging us to recognize “it’s not what happens to you; it’s what you do with what happens to you.” The interactive presentation that Chris delivered at Fessenden is worth a watch. And, follow these links to  learn more about Chris Waddell and his foundation One Revolution, which aims to change the way the world sees people with disabilities by demonstrating the common experience of challenge.
