Dan Federico '07 Leads Quinnipiac Hockey Team To 3rd Straight Title
3/8/2015
Dan Federico ‘07 (and a member of Fessenden’s 2007 undefeated Varsity Hockey team) has been steadily making a name for himself in leading his Quinnipiac U. Hockey teammates to their third straight ECAC regular season title. Quinnipiac is currently ranked 11th in the country in the most recent USCHO.com Division I pole. Despite graduating 5 of their 8 top forwards from last year’s squad, the ECAC Hockey Cleary Cup Regular Season Champions completed this season at 21-9-4 overall and 16-3-3 in ECAC Hockey play. Federico is the co-captain of the team and was recently named one of the 20 finalists for the Walter Brown Award, presented annually to the best American born hockey player in New England.
Quinnipiac will be the No. 1 seed in the ECAC Hockey Tournament, will have a bye for the upcoming first round of the bracket and will host the lowest-seeded team for a best-of-three games quarterfinals series on Mar. 13-15 at High Point Solutions Arena at the TD Bank Sports Center in Hamden, Connecticut.
