Many companies allow employees to enhance personal donations through matching gift opportunities. Please contact your company’s human resources staff about eligibility and any documentation Fessenden needs to provide to facilitate a matching gift. 

Payments from some matching gift platforms are processed quarterly. If this is the case with your company, please share the details of your gift amount and employer’s name with Fessenden by phone at (617) 630-2310 or by email at advancement@fessenden.org to confirm receipt.

If you wish to make a gift of securities, please notify the Advancement Office by phone at (617) 630-2310 or by email at advancement@fessenden.org. Since brokers do not always inform us about a gift, providing details of your transfer will ensure that your gift is credited correctly. 

When you contact us, please include the following information: 

• Full name of the donor(s)
• Name of the stock
• Number of shares
• Date of transfer
• Intended use (e.g., Annual Fund)
• Name and telephone number of your broker

Workplace giving allows employees to make tax-deductible donations through an individual’s place of employment. These donations are often made through payroll deduction, but donations via credit card, through accrued vacation time, and other methods might also be available depending on your employer's program. Many companies support workplace giving with employee engagement platforms that will facilitate these gifts and make it easier for you as an employee to give. Steps for Workplace Giving:

• Consult your employer’s human resources department to see if your company participates in workplace giving and if there are specific times of year that you can sign up to give.
• Work with your employer to participate in workplace giving, often through an employee engagement platform.
• Ask if your employer also matches your workplace gift.
• Alert the Advancement Office of your gift through workplace giving so that we can be aware of your contribution.
